In this most recent short I shot and edited over the past week, it served as an opportunity to explore both the incredible environment I have found myself in this summer and my own ability to share a place and experience with others. Now that I find myself starting a new phase of my career in Montana where producing media will be a daily activity, I cannot help but feel incredibly excited and blessed that I continue to grow and make the very most of the incredible life I have been living.
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”
Henry David Thoreau

There Is No Other Land
Now that my transition from Alaska to Montana is entering the early stages, it is time to get back into producing media. Through only the practice of shooting more. Editing more. Creating more. I have always been fascinated by media's ability to communicate ideas, experiences, and emotions and video has constantly been one of the best tools to accomplish that. Being able to showcase not just the whole that a scene exists in, but also the individual parts in ways that other types of media have difficulty with.
